Temple Sealing
Vicky and I had the honor and privilege of doing the temple work for my parents on Fri, June 20, 2008 at the Salt Lake Temple. Following the endowment, we were sealed for my parents, and then I was sealed to my parents. It was a blessing that my Dad's two sisters were able to be there, as well as some of the other Robbins' extended family. Pictured above, from left to right, are my cousin Rick McDermott, my Aunt Juanita Newsome, my cousing Rochelle McDermott Snow, my Dad's cousin Roy Robbins and his wife Rexene, my cousin Rondi McDermott Knowlton-Jefferies, yours truly, my cousin Luke McDermott, Vicky, and seated is my Aunt Lorraine McDermott. It was a beautiful day at the temple and I'm grateful that both Vicky and I were worthy to do this sacred work for my parents!

BASEBALL TOURNAMENT - POCATELLO, IDAHO
Vicky and Scott accompanied Niel to Pocatello, ID for a baseball tournament. Niel's team, the Sluggers, compiled a 3 - 1 record and played very well. The trip was memorable because of the bitter cold conditions for the 2nd game on Fri afternoon. The outside temp was about 37 - 38 degrees F, but the wind was blowing and there were rain/snow showers which made it seem even colder. After the game, which we won, everyone hustled to their cars and turned on the heaters. Then we hustled to the hot tub at the hotel. The next day was much nicer with cool, but clear conditions. On Sun, we drove to Lava Hot Springs for some relaxation in the hot pools, and then drove to Logan to wish Grandma a happy Mother's Day! Next month Niel goes to Omaha for a tournament, but I think the rest of us will stay home for that one. Keep your eye on the ball!

"Freak East/Outclass Highland"
Kirstyn with three of her friends. The boy on the left actually shaved his head and took out his two "false" front teeth.
Two of Kirstyn's friends, Sadie and Brianna. Brianna used a water bottle to get her hair to stand up on her head like that.
The Highland High School Studentbody
Highland High School has a tradition that goes back to 1972. When the basketball team plays East High School at Highland, all of the Highland studentbody dresses up. The Highland students dress up looking like freaks and East students dressing up in tuxedos, formal dresses (purched at the Deseret Industries) or Hefty trash bags (becaue it doesn't take much to out class Highland). It is the biggest game of the year with the Pep Club and Cheerleaders doing a crazy dance at halftime. Thanks to MONIQUE NIELSEN (the Highland cheerleader advisor) this years halftime was extra freaky and filled with school spirit, even the principals got into it.
If you diden't already know, East High was the school where Disneys "High School Musical" was filmed. Now, there is a film being released about the Highland High School Rugby Team called "Forever Strong". The film was inspired not only by the school, but actual students, coaches, and it's increadible rugby team that has dominated the nation for three pluss decades. Highland alulmni were used to play their own parts, and the title "Forever Strong" comes from the rugby team's moto.
The rivalry continues...."Highschool Musical" vs "Forever Strong".
