I have a few minutes before checking out of our hotel this morning, so I wanted to report the final results of Niel's team at Cooperstown. The Sluggers ended up about 52nd place out of 96 teams, so about in the middle. Our final record was 3 - 5. We beat teams from Michigan, Ohio and Delaware, but lost to teams from Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, and Minnesota. The kids had a great time, as did our entire family. Kirstyn told us she now likes baseball much more than she used to - some of the games were pretty "intense" and Kirstyn really gets involved! She thinks all of the boys are soooo cute, and they all thought Kirstyn was really "hot!"
After leaving Cooperstown, we went to a Yankees' game on Friday night, June 29. They beat the Oakland A's, 2 - 1. Our seats were in the left field bleachers, but the atmosphere was pretty cool. Prices were a little steep as you'd imagine - hot dogs @ $4.50 ea, bag of peanuts @ $5.00, parking @ $20. At least the tickets were provided by the team.
From New York, we left the next day for Atlantic City. Fun time "on the boardwalk" and at the beach. Vicky and Kirstyn went to "Movin' Out" at Harrah's for Vicky's birthday, while I took the boys to a movie.
After 2 days in Atlantic City, we headed for Washington DC. A stop in Baltimore for lunch at the Inner Harbor and a visit to the Aquarium was a nice diversion. I'll update the blog again after Vicky has posted pictures from DC. We're on our way home today!
